How the Analyzer Works

Cookie Clicker saves are stored as Base64-encoded strings. When you paste your save here, our tool parses the internal game state, including your building counts, upgrade bitfields, and achievement flags. We then apply game formulas (sourced from the official wiki) to calculate your Raw CpS, Milk Multipliers, and Building Efficiency.

This data is processed locally in your browser, ensuring your save remains private. The only external processing happens when you interact with the AI Advisor, which uses a summarized version of your stats to generate personalized strategic advice.

How to export your Cookie Clicker save

  1. In the game, open Options from the top menu.
  2. Click Export save. A box appears with a long string of letters and numbers.
  3. Select all of it (Ctrl+A or Cmd+A), copy it, and paste it into the box above. Alternatively, use Save to file in the game's options and upload the file here.

This works the same in the browser version and on Steam. The string is your entire game: buildings, upgrades, achievements, minigames and settings. Keep a copy somewhere safe, because it is also the easiest way to back up your progress.

What the analyzer shows you

After you paste a save, the analyzer decodes it in your browser and rebuilds the numbers the game uses internally. The dashboard is split into a few areas:

  • Overview: cookies in bank, cookies baked this run and all time, prestige level, heavenly chips, sugar lumps and your estimated CpS.
  • Buildings: every building you own with its level, the price of the next one, the CpS it would add and its payback period.
  • Golden cookies: the bank you need for a full Lucky! with and without Frenzy, and what a building special would be worth with your building counts.
  • Upgrades and achievements: what you own, what is missing, and your milk level.
  • Recommendations: a prioritized list of next steps based on rules for ascension timing, minigames, the dragon, Santa, seasons and more.

Payback period: how purchases are ranked

The analyzer ranks buildings by payback period, the same idea used by the popular Cookie Monster add-on. It adds two times together: how long you must wait to afford the building with your current bank and CpS, and how long the building then takes to earn back its price through the CpS it adds. In formula form: PP = max(cost − bank, 0) ÷ CpS + cost ÷ CpS gained.

The building with the lowest payback period is usually the best next buy. This is more useful than "cheapest" or "most CpS" on their own, because it balances price against benefit. To compare purchases you have not made yet, try the What-If Calculator.

Milk and achievements

Each achievement you unlock adds 4% milk. Milk does nothing on its own, but kitten upgrades multiply your CpS based on it, so achievements quietly raise your production all game long. The analyzer shows your current milk and which missing achievements are easiest to pick up. Our kitten upgrades guide explains the multipliers in detail.

About the AI Advisor

The AI Advisor turns your save into plain-language advice. It receives a structured summary of your stats (not your raw save) along with reference data about the game, and answers questions like "should I ascend?" or "what should I do with my sugar lumps?". Click Analyze My Save for a full breakdown, or ask something specific.

The advisor is a language model, so treat its answers as suggestions and check anything surprising against the numbers on the dashboard. Requests are rate-limited to keep the service free.

Frequently asked questions

Is my save uploaded anywhere?

No. Your save is decoded in your browser. Only the AI Advisor sends a summary of your stats to our server, and only when you ask it for advice.

Does the analyzer work with Steam saves?

Yes. Use Options, then Export save in the Steam version and paste the string, or upload a file saved with Save to file.

Why does my CpS differ slightly from the game?

The analyzer estimates CpS from your save. Temporary buffs, the Pantheon and some seasonal effects are not always active when you export, so small differences are normal.
