How Lucky! is calculated
When a golden cookie gives you Lucky!, you get the smaller of two amounts, plus 13 cookies: 15% of the cookies in your bank, or 900 seconds (15 minutes) of your current CpS. In short: Lucky! = min(15% of bank, 900 × CpS) + 13.
The bank cap matters most. If your bank is small, Lucky! pays out far less than 15 minutes of production. To receive the full amount, you need at least 6,000 seconds of CpS in the bank, because 15% of 6,000 is 900. That is the "Bank needed" figure in each row.
Why Frenzy changes the bank target
Lucky! uses your current CpS, buffs included. If you click a Lucky! during Frenzy (×7 CpS for 77 seconds), the CpS side of the formula is seven times larger, so the bank you need to collect it in full is also seven times larger: 42,000 seconds of your normal CpS.
The calculator lists several scenarios, from no buff up to Elder Frenzy (×666), so you can see what bank each one needs. Most players aim for the Frenzy row. Beyond that, saving up costs more than it returns unless you are planning a specific combo with the FtHoF Predictor.
Spending versus banking
Keeping a large bank means not spending those cookies on buildings, so there is a trade-off. Early in a run, buying buildings is almost always better. Once buildings and upgrades get expensive relative to your income, keeping a Lucky! bank (6,000 × CpS) or a Frenzy Lucky! bank (42,000 × CpS) pays off, because golden cookies become a large share of your income. The green or red value in each row shows whether your current bank is enough.
Frequently asked questions
How many cookies should I keep in the bank for golden cookies?
At least 6,000 seconds of CpS for a full Lucky!, or 42,000 seconds of CpS to get the full amount during Frenzy.
Does Lucky! use my CpS with buffs?
Yes. Lucky! uses your CpS at the moment you click it, so Frenzy and building specials raise the payout and the bank you need.
